Can you play Fields of Mistria natively on Mac?
No. As of August 19, 2026, Fields of Mistria has no native macOS version. The Steam page lists Windows and SteamOS + Linux requirements but has no macOS requirements section, Mac installation option, or Apple Silicon support entry.
NPC Studio’s FAQ identifies Windows PC and Steam Deck compatibility. It does not list Mac as an available platform.
What does the Steam page list?
The official Fields of Mistria Steam page displays Windows and SteamOS + Linux system-requirement sections. It does not display a macOS panel, so the Steam product is not a native Mac release.
The Windows minimum information includes Windows 10, a 64-bit processor and operating system, 6 GB RAM, DirectX 11, and 2 GB of storage. These specifications are not Mac requirements and should not be used to judge Apple hardware compatibility.
Why Steam Deck support does not provide macOS support
Steam Deck uses SteamOS and is a different platform from macOS. NPC Studio explicitly calls the game Steam Deck compatible, but that statement does not supply an Intel Mac build or an Apple Silicon build.
Likewise, the SteamOS + Linux requirements cannot be renamed as macOS requirements. Each operating system needs its own supported build and store listing.
What about CrossOver, Wine, virtual machines, or cloud play?
CrossOver, Wine, Parallels, Boot Camp, virtual machines, and cloud-gaming services are not native macOS releases. NPC Studio does not provide a supported Mac installation procedure for those methods, so this guide does not instruct players to use them.
Device-specific community experiments can break after game, operating-system, or compatibility-layer updates. They are outside the supported platform information presented here.
Where should you check Mac availability?
Use the official Fields of Mistria FAQ, NPC Studio blog, and the Steam system-requirements panel. A native Mac release would add a macOS store option and requirements section.
Current availability for Switch, mobile, and PS5 is documented separately.
